While in the Public Relations program at Loyalist College, our class held a casino fundraiser for the United Way of Quinte. One of my tasks was to write a news release to promote the fundraiser. The news release was sent to various local media outlets.

One of my PR assignments required me to create a Media Kit for an event in the Quinte area. My event was the Quinte Ballet School's Production of The Nutcracker. The Media Kit included a News Release, Backgrounder and Fact Sheet.

In Grade 12 I completed a Co-op Placement with The Lakefield Herald. I wrote stories for the local news paper on a weekly basis. This is an article I wrote that was published on the front page  of the newspaper.
