Special Events and Fundraisers

While interning with Lakefield College School, one of my tasks was to assist with the planning of LCS's Annual Regatta Day. Regatta Day is an event held for future and current students, alumni, staff and their families. This was the itinerary for the day of the event. My duties were to assist with the set of the silent auction and manage the children's activities.

In the Public Relations program, my classmates and I were required to work in small groups to plan, organize and hold an event of our choice. My group held a Speed Networking event. We invited several Public Relations professionals who currently work in the field to the event. Each professional were stationed at their own table. Our class was split into small groups and rotated through the professionals. The students had a certain amount of time with each professional to ask them any questions.

"Hearts for Haiti" was a fundraiser I volunteered with at Loyalist College. We sold bags of cinnamon hearts and collected donations for the Salvation Army Haitian Relief Fund. In one day, we raised over one-thousand dollars.

My Public Relations class held a fundraiser for the United Way of Quinte called Casino Loyale. We had Casino themed games
